Web-based training

Web-based training with video is the perfect format for the digital transformation of face-to-face training courses

The web-based training (“WBT”) format is a great way to digitize recurrent face-to-face training courses. These WBT courses are characterized by the fact that, through careful editorial and cinematic work, they translate the knowledge input of a full-day seminar into a 60 to 90-minute independent learning format, which is divided into small learning units. This standardizes high-quality training and is available anywhere, at any time. Indirect training costs are reduced considerably, and the sustainability of the training is increased.

The advantages of WBT courses with video at a glance:

  • Our web-based training (WBT) courses combine the advantages of a standard WBT course (simple integration, simple use, interactivity and monitoring of the learning flow) with the advantages of a video learning course (high level of involvement, engagement with learning materials).
  • WBT courses with video are a good way of digitizing frequently recurring day seminars, and making them available at any time in a consistently high quality.
  • Knowledge building through our web-based training is more efficient, because participants can work through the content at their own pace.
  • In a WBT course, videos enable user involvement and the brain-friendly processing of the content, inter alia through the “human” presentation of the content by moderators and experts – supplemented by high-quality didactic animations and graphics.
  • WBT courses with video can be played on almost all devices, from desktop computers to tablets and smartphones.
  • WBT courses with video help to reduce the high proportion of so-called “indirect further training costs”, such as absences and travel and hotel costs.
  • WBT courses with video can be used regardless of location and time, and are therefore easier to integrate into everyday work. At the same time, they enable quick, short-term learning in decentralized companies.
  • With our WBT courses, learning is developed from the event to the process. This is not one-time learning, but continuous further training, as it is embedded in blended learning scenarios.

WBT courses with video are an excellent companion for face-to-face events in blended learning scenarios.

  • The transfer of knowledge often plays a major role in face-to-face seminars. If the theoretical knowledge is conveyed in advance in WBT courses with video, valuable time can be used in face-to-face seminars for practical exercises, role plays and tasks.
  • WBT courses help to put the participants’ varying levels of knowledge “on one level” in advance – and create the perfect basis for effective face-to-face seminars under the umbrella of “homogenization of heterogeneous target groups”.

  • Key learning content is also available for revision after a face-to-face training session.

This is how Pink University’s web-based training courses are put together

We work closely with your HR department and your experts to translate the content of a full-day face-to-face seminar into a web-based training course. In a multi-stage process, the content is condensed and finally implemented professionally into a training course with videos.

1 Pink University’s editors work with your trainers and experts in a workshop to develop the essential content of the video training course.

2 The content is then editorially condensed, didactically prepared, and structured into learning units which take about ten minutes to complete. At the same time, additional work materials, learning questions and interactive elements are developed.

3 The Pink University editorial team will write the script, design the graphic concept, and coordinate it all with you.

4 Depending on the learning objectives, the film footage is shot either on location or in the studio.

5 In the film cut, the individual recordings are put together to form a larger whole

6 Post-production is about didactic clarity and the “look & feel”. The prepared (animated) graphics are added, along with the sound and the corresponding music. “Post-production” is not always exactly the right term: The steps taken to produce explanatory sequences or screencasts, for example, are actually at the heart of this process.

7 The working documents and learning questions that were developed in the conception phase are now typed up, designed and programmed, and added to the user interface.

8 An intro and an outro are added to the e-learning course, which is then distributed in the required format.
